True, not everyone will suddenly fall victim, but many will. And don't forget this was one of the reasons religions grow bigger during the course of history, some of them was banned because of the presence of a different one or a different ideology. It took time for them to slowly take over and at some points with the forcefulness of swift naked blades, for example Scandinavians and Persians.
