Ah, but it's so easy to prove that cable exists.  And so impossible to prove that god exists.  That is god's failure, if there is such a creature, not ours.  And your silly analogy will only work when proof does exist.  Until then,

Hmm.  Not sure how to take that.  I have been told so many times that "you haven't heard god's voice because you weren't praying the right way, or for the right things, or in the right receptive state of mind, or . . .       all of that BS.  I prayed quite fervently for well over 40 years.  You would think even a moron like me would get it right once.   

OR, I could actually take that response as an attempt at humor, and not a slam at my lack of proper religiosity.  In that case, oddly enough . . .   . . . good one.
