Could atheist westerners, please explain?

You won't find too many atheists who are big fans of Israel. That said, The Arabs helped create this monster by trying to wipe them out when all they wanted was to be left alone.

Honestly, I wouldn't shed a tear if a large meteor wiped out the entire Middle East. I think the cultural loss would be worth removing what I see as a big set of mental chains that hold back the human race as it tries to grow up.

What cultural loss? <snark>

For all the culture which Muslims have continually been destroying since al-Ghazali, it wouldn't make much difference.
