As it says in 1 John 5:6-8 (WYC) ="6 This is Jesus Christ, that came by water and blood; not in water only, but in water and blood. And the Spirit is he that witnesseth, that Christ is [the] truth.
7 For three be, that give witnessing in heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost [For three be, that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, or Son, and the Holy Ghost]; and these three be one.
8 And three be, that give witnessing in earth, the Spirit, water, and blood; and these three be one."
It's off to the lake of fire for you.
There is an error in the 8th verse; the water, blood, and spirit ARE NOT ONE, they AGREE IN ONE.
Quote:1 John 5 (KJV)
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
If you knew anything about Judaism you'd know that they believe in only one God, that means the Jews of the new testament would have never accepted a gospel talking about essentially 3 Gods, and to do so would make them guilty of the first commandment: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me".
A Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not separate personalities, they are separate roles/titles. One can be BOTH a father AND son.
Therefore: God above us = Father
God with us = Son
God in us = Holy spirit
The Bible tells you plainly in the above scripture that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one.
Jesus Christ IS God, that all there is to it.
Quote:John (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.Quote:John (KJV)Didn't Jesus tell the disciple to baptize in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost?
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Quote:Matthew 28 (KJV)So in what name did the disciples baptize?
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Quote:Acts 2:38So that makes Jesus Christ the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Also that bible clearly states that in Jesus Christ was the FULLNESS of the Godhead (deity); meaning he is all of it.
Quote:Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
First you claim the trinity is a lie and then you cite passages that say that the trinity is true.
So is it true or is it a lie?
