I think "you" needs to be your brain, probably. It certainly does not have full control over your body. Many things run automatically and you couldn't make them run any differently. We also have muscle memory, and some reactions only go as far as the spine and not the brain.
Just saying you "can choose to do something" is assuming you had any choice in the first place. You did do something, then you did something else. How can you tell you had a genuine choice? Sure, it feels that way. It doesn't mean it is.
