Obviously you're not aware that the parties swapped positions since the times of Lincoln. It's your history, not mine, but even I am aware of the fact that Lincoln would be a democrat by todays standards.

On a side remark, it's a bit rich to post nixonfoundation as any kind of proof for Nixons great deeds. But I agree, at least partly. Going by today's republicans, Nixon would be considered a bleeding heart liberal.
