I don't know the specifics of your experiences, never claimed to, and don't care to. But what I do know is that foreign living instills a cosmopolitanism, the lack of which is painfully obvious in your case.
That's how you were easy to peg.
Was that cosmopolitanism or pretentiousness? I may have a reading issue indeed.
Saying I was "easy to peg" actually does mean that you know my experience, though, as you have apparently correctly pegged me. Are you talking about being right about my never having been to a Muslim country (I'll say you guessed that I haven't been to a predominantly Muslim country, even though it was a question you asked)? Considering most people haven't been to predominantly Muslims countries, I wouldn't give myself too much credit on that one if I were you.
Lol, "pretentious". I don't need to pretend on this score, it was pretty much shooting fish in a barrel.
Seriously, if you think that being able to spot your parochial nature and yes, make an educated guess that you don't meet up with the standards you impose on others, means that I should know all your experiences, I don't know what to tell you -- there's a conceptual gap there that you're completely missing.
I'm certainly not claiming special insight, but what I am saying is that there is a difference between an educated guess and a baseless assumption, and that's a difference you seem to have great trouble processing.
Also, the fact that you would hold a double standard greatly weakens your stance. There's no sense getting pissed because someone could meet it anyway.
