In response to the OP and to the "Trinity of Evil" I oppose the legal institution of marriage in it's entirety. I will gladly take the tax break, but only because it's offered, not because I feel myself or anyone deserves a reward for their personal choices/ religious beliefs/ sexual preferences. Choosing to be united for a lifetime with someone should not be based on financial gain, tax relief, desperation, a sense of duty, religious dogmatic beliefs. It should be based of love and commitment, the other reasons lead to the current state of divorce in America.
However as it stands now, give it to everyone (regardless of the above mentioned) or no one. We don't need more things to divide the different classes/ populous.
And btw Min even it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
