Why? because small minded a-holes think God=Magic, and if it is not magic it is not of God.

Pretty much anything that interacts with the physical world, i.e. natural causes, can be tested. Yet your god is supposedly supernatural. i.e. magic. If he's using natural forces to do things, and we have yet to find any connection between natural forces and gods, then you're trying to insert something into the framework that doesn't need to be there.

How do you know? Can 'science' offer a complete accurate picture of Creation?

I guess your god isn't really all that special. He just had a head start.

There is a VAST difference between creating something functional and someone reverse engineering what someone else has created.

Natural things can be tested, explained, and controlled.

and that is the illusion of science. When in truth less than a 1/3 of all scientific claims will remain in the realm of theory based on other theories being accurate. We can't test the vast majority of what we think is true outside of this planet's orbit let alone how the cosmos is constructed. Your faith in 'science' is the same faith people place in God.

If that's what your god is doing, then that basically means we're all gods, and eventually the gap between your god and us will shrink until we're equals. Which kind of fits into the Eden story, where Yahweh didn't want people gaining knowledge because they would become like him. Independent, and not so easily controlled.

Again you are supposing that everything can be reverse engineered and manipulated on the same level God can.

The issue is that if it isn't magic, then what do you need a god for? If you can explain something through means that don't require a god, which has not yet been proven to exist, then what's the point of the god?

Yeah, we have a pretty accurate picture of how the universe works, and it's getting clearer and clearer over time. If you want to fit your god into the gaps, that's fine, but those gaps are getting smaller and fewer over time.

Pretty sure we can test things outside our planet. It's not faith when anyone with the proper tools can test or observe what other people can.

What makes you think we can't? His abilities aren't demonstrable, so anything you say about what he can do is akin to debating how large dragons can truly grow before they stop. Or if they stop.
