White privilage does exist, and it's global; too.
I can say it with full confidence, because I was the light skinned son -well; compared to the rest around me-, I was treated better by society, people who were whiter than me got better and better treatment, and above them all sits the European/American man/lady, waiting to get showered withflowers by poor darker skinned Arabs, worshiping the white shiny skin.
Actually, you can see a portion of Arab girls (and Africans too) dye their hair in blonde, use "Fair & Lovely" cream, and spend hours and hours to look more white. They call it "the khawaga complex" over here or literally "the western man complex"; that is people who want to look western; in terms of physical appearance.
All Arabs have it with different degrees, but it is the most terrible in Egypt. White people are almost worshiped there, you can totally see it in tourism places, and usually locals & Arabs have no privileges compared to white Europeans.
You can see -as an example- the "Khawaga complex" manifesting in such videos; where you find Arabs/Egyptians trying so desperately to prove that they are white:

Seeing people so desperate is just pathatic..I mean Middle Eastern features are beautiful; bronze colors are beautiful,what's the problem?
But racism ruins history; as does nationalism..

Arabs -and especially Egyptians- got broken by the Turks -ottomans- first; then by western occupation, which converted the standards of "looking good" to: be white, YOU RULE.
