Correcting grammar is racist.

because there is far more racism against brown-skinned immigrants than racism against white people in the UK. 

I was just responding to this.  From the newspaper reports I showed it seems that although you're more likely to be the victim of a racially motivated crime if you're non white, overall there are more incidents of racially motivated murders and crimes in general against white people.

I don't really see what there would be to discuss about white privilege really.  It seems to me like it does exist depending on how you define it but it's a grain of sand in a desert of possibilities when it comes to what could be a privilege. 

You're privileged if you have a big dick, unless you have cancer, unless you overcome that cancer and survive then you will be privileged again, that is unless you're a white south African farmer about to get machetted to death by a black mob then you will be unprivileged again unless you have the privilege of owning guns while people around you are trying to kill you with knives. 

And I wonder what white privilege is and how it fits in with the definition of what privileges are.

The term white privilege makes no sense to me due to the generalization of the term and the size of the white race globally and in America, if you're relating the definition to the definition of privilege.

a special right, advantage, or immunity granted or available only to a particular person or group.


That's the definition of privilege.  So what would white privilege be?


You can certainly say white people aren't incarcerated as much as black people in America but it's not a special right as a white person to not be incarcerated because white people are incarcerated.  I don't know what immunity or special right is given specifically to white people as a group. 


And I'm not just trying to be a dick by questioning this, like someone saying spiders aren't always arachnids because some are born without 8 legs.  I'm saying there's not just a few freak instances of white people being poor, uneducated, in prison.  This is pretty much the case talking about America and even more so talking globally.  

You could say a specific king has certain privileges, a specific group of white people have privileges, native Americans are granted some privileges as far as I know involving hunting in America.

If white privilege is just a reflection of some general statistics about correlative trends between income, incarceration, crime and race then that's what it is but I don't understand the word privilege being a part of that.
