He will still carry Texas. Trump could carry some of the Eastern Blue States which could put him over the top.
In 2012, Obama won the election and a large part of why he won was because the quasi-racist talk coming from the Republicans really mobilized the hispanic vote. That doesn't bode well for the candidate who started his campaign by calling Mexicans drug dealers and rapists. I can see a repeat of 2012, not to mention he's made more than a few comments that have pissed off another Democratic voting bloc: women.
And I think the party elites realize he can't win the general election, which is why they want Ted Cruz to win. Unfortunately, Trump has enough popular support that the only way Cruz can really win would be to basically ignore the Republican voters. It becomes a lose/lose situation for them and I can't help but think, they need to start thinking towards the 2020 election and how they're going to avoid falling into a similar trap.
You're deluded. Hispanics are everywhere to varying degrees. So are blacks. And of course women are 50% everywhere. He's got something like a 70% disapproval rate with women already and he was stupid enough to play the gender card with Hillary in the last week. You're living in an absolute fantasy world if you think Trump will win any blue states. He will far more likely lose some traditionally red states like Arizona and very possibly Texas.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
