Why in the world would I want to use that evil book of absurd fairy tales to defend anything?  And if you have proof beyond your baseless "my own personal experience with my imaginary friend" assertions, present the proof.  I'm sure that a huge portion of the human population would be interested in having verifiable proof of a god, or of an afterlife, or even that prayer gets measurable results.  If you can't present any proof other than "god has proved it to me", then you're just wasting your time blowing hot air.

 I'm not wasting time, I'm giving you what you missed when you were younger. It's a personal relationship you can't earn it, it comes by grace, unmerited love. God's actions can't be measured, when you learn what eternity is as related to God, you just might get a hint. God shows himself through nature the nature He created and there are more atheist scientist who are abandoning atheism because they see the complexity of life isn't possible without an intelligence and they are referring to the God of creation. Like it or not science advancements are slowly putting evolution in the grave where it belongs.

Once you realize that you don't believe, it's pretty impossible to RE-believe. Even if I wanted to re-believe, I certainly would not give a second of "worship" to the god described in the bible.  He is a VILE, reprehensible monster.

Yes, my parents once believed that all fossil evidence and evolution was the work of Satan.  Then I actually studied science.  Your "facts" about scientists abandoning atheism and "putting evolution in the grave" come from creationist propaganda SITES that desperately spout lies and pseudoscience.

It's quite amazing to me that xtians think proselytizing is a good thing.  This is an Atheist forum, it should be a place of safety, but no - - the idiot preachers converge here like ants at a picnic, disrespecting us, insulting us, telling us that we are stupid and deluded and we should listen to them.
