Godschild Wrote:Mister Agenda Wrote:GC, if you send me a hundred bucks, I guarantee you a life that is going to be so good it's indescribable. Are you going to send me the money? If not, why not? I should add that if you don't, your home will blow up killing you and your loved ones.
I know your question wasn't addressed to me, but since it's the kind of thing you ask: I read the Bible cover-to-cover twice, starting with the KJV and then The Living Bible. I honestly couldn't say how many times I've read Genesis and the Gospels and Acts. Having done so has a lot to do with why I'm an atheist today.
What kind of guarantee comes with this and you know when I posted something like this in jest I was warned never to do it again, is that going to happen with you or does partiality take place because you're an atheist.
Reading the Bible without the Holy Spirit's guidance will leave you with as much understanding as you had before you picked up the book for the first time.

I'm not threatening you, I'm just making a prediction. I guarantee it's true though. I don't blame you for doubting me, but the rewards are so great and the consequences of not sending the money are so horrible, why take the chance?
When I picked it up, I was a true believer. It had never even occurred to me that God was not real. And 'you didn't have the magic decoder ring' is not a very believable argument. Plenty of frauds claim to have special powers of discernment, and it's easy as pie to find two that disagree on interpretation anyway. But I had a lot more understanding after I read the Bible than I had before.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
