You believe because we suck?
I'm great; rob. Thank you for your compassion ^_^
Ah, yes ! humanity sucks, and that is a big composing element that keeps the fires of my "belief" burning.

The universe is just there to prove it; it has been said a lot by believers of course, but without a base-case (as in recursive functions in math) we have nothing..
That, if you believed and agreed that our life and reality is the same function getting repeated over & over & over with different parameters..
Abaris
Thank you for your compassion, Abaris ^_^. It really means a lot to me.
I'm okay. The disorder isn't touching any logical units of my brain. I can still think quite logically.

Quote:No one is claiming humans got here just out of thin air.
Well, except religions.
Despite the respect Stephen Hawkings, read his lines to sense that ego I'm talking about:
http://www.cnet.com/news/stephen-hawking...is-no-god/
Well, check this out: Hawkings claiming that the universe "began from nothing"..
How does this male sense?
If this is the general view, then this is the exact topic of my post: human ego.. We are Gods; they claim and say.
I think hawkings made the biggest mistake in his observations, when he neglected God's possibility and role..Einestine, though, was walking on the logical path:
Quote:Albert Einstein's religious views have been studied extensively. He said he believed in the "pantheistic" God of Baruch Spinoza, but not in apersonal god, a belief he criticized. He also called himself an agnostic, while disassociating himself from the label atheist, preferring, he said, "an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being".[1][2]

I would personally say that he was a better scientist..with all respect to Hawkings..
Ego though..that human ego..

It's a citing attempt at human ego, and how it affects religious choices.
You analyzed my post correctly ! I wrote the first line before reading all your comment.
Well, there are two scenarios:
1)Humans created God, and their ego drew a very distorted image
2)God does exist and humans did know that (at one point), and with time their ego twisted his image
Ah..atheism is the denial of number two..and actually, even religious people nowadays -a large portion of them- don't agree on ALL of scenario 2; i.e the twisting of the idea of God to fit their human needs.
Mamacita
Annoying people is my thing ><. Even in real life, I have tendancy to throw the weirdest jokes ever..I'm so good at annoying people.
What do you get when you mix castor oil with holy water?
But my logic is fine..I truly don't think that I'm wrong !
Abaris
I take lots of meds, wrote some posts while high, but I couldn't touch the stuff for a long while, forced not to touch it of course><
But believe me, it's not like I write whatever crosses my mind when it comes to religion and politics..I have an agenda that I follow, with rules and points to stick to.
Losty
I'll look at the filled half of the cup, and thank you for liking my writing style ^_^. There is an embedded logic in there; though.!!
Boru
Outer space, human ! not the street
Boru
#note: just joking Copycatting Evie & Losty, it's really addictive to end my post with Boru.
Minimalist
It's not like we're recruiting for the next soccer match..
It's all about you and where you want to end up: heaven or hell.

No! Eat without bread and don't wish for eating stuff from the bakery; TBH carbs would be obsolete if you just got used on the taste of raw protein sources, like rib-eye steak <3 but hey, some carbs here and there won't hurt !! a girl with "some junk" on her "trunk" is more than fine; curves are one lovely thing
ignoramus
How have you been, ignoramus? long time no seen..I know it seems weird that I ask about how you're doing, but IDK maybe it's anti-depressant working, I get "social-boy" boosts, asking how people are doing and all ><
Umm I believe it because it makes sense. Logically, there can't be another way.
If you told ancients about today's world, they'll probably say it's fairy tales, too.
Anything is believable..until proven false.
The Valkyrie
I googled him, he looks like a character from AMC's the Walking Dead:
little lunch
Wear more cloths, and some tight boots so they don't get inside.
Alasdair Ham
God wasn't exaggerating when he said these verses:
(Sura 24 Verse 35 ) Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.
It's beautiful, yet scary. To just sleep at night, so weak and exposed is just scaring me. For God to be there though, to engulf us with his mercy and light, is one lovely thing..

Never was more sure, rob..
