So you have no actual data to back this assertion, and instead have made it based on your own (incorrect) assumptions about atheists and what kind of people they are.


94% of child molesters are religious people according to the Abel and Harlow Child Molestation Prevention Study, you stupid fuck. The same goes for the American prison population (less than 1% of which is atheist, as opposed to 15 to 20% of free people).


Atheism is not correlated with an increase in delinquent behavior; religion is. That's not to say that religion causes delinquent behavior directly (since correlation does not imply causation), but it does definitively show that lack of religious belief cannot be a common cause of criminal or socially unacceptable activity.

Actually, there is a new study just published by Dr. Elicka Peterson Sparks that shows a correlation between fundamentalist christian beliefs and criminal behavior.  She shows definite data and lists reasons why the American cities with the highest crime rates are also the ones with a church building on every corner.  Of particular interest was the use of some of Robert Altemeyer's work on the measurement of authoritarian attitudes.  It's a very well-written and well-researched book, (although a few pastors who left positive reviews took issue with her interpretation of a Bible verse or two).  It's a good read, I highly recommend it.  http://www.amazon.com/Devil-You-Know-Con...1633881504
