Can Facebook be a dick?

My Facebook account was recently shut down and FB informed me that I needed to download a free anti-malware program in order to remove something harmful on my computer in order to return.

I ignored it.

I deactivated my FB account.

Then I actually ran several programs, and there is nothing wrong with my computer.

What could this be?
