Hahahahaha I'm sorry but this phrase is very hilarious (English is not my first language, so Sodomite is just a funny phrase !!!)..
I mean imagine this; instead of saying "go fuck yourself; fag !", you say "go fuck yourself, Sodomite!!", lool !!!!

------An Islamic opinion about the incident-----

Nobody has the right to kill another soul, except if it was a reply to a crime of the same degree.

Our noble God says:

Sura 5:
( 44 )   Indeed, We sent down the Torah, in which was guidance and light. The prophets who submitted [to Allah] judged by it for the Jews, as did the rabbis and scholars by that with which they were entrusted of the Scripture of Allah, and they were witnesses thereto. So do not fear the people but fear Me, and do not exchange My verses for a small price. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers.
( 45 )   And We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

This sentence survived from the Torah and was written upon Muslims too: it's usually summed as "an eye for  an eye". Indeed; it's not right to kill those who didn't kill, it is never justified.

Across the Quran,there is no verse -not even a single one- that advocates the murder of homosexuals and people who commit adultry. It is true that there are stories about God punishing people for doing such sins -by death-, but we have no right to play God, as believers, and do what he does.

Again I repeat: we have no right to play God, get caught in self-righteousness, and do what he does.
This killer of homosexuals, deserves to be killed, from the base of "eye for an eye", because he did kill people who didn't kill nobody.
