I live just outside of the city. My area has a population of just over 22,000. Not saying I am one of those people that fear for their safety 24/7, but it is nice to have some protection.
Oh I'm not judging you. Just trying to understand why some people seem more afraid. When I lived in the 140,000 population...that's a fairly small city so I've just never lived anywhere big enough to be afraid in my own home or to be afraid to walk the streets at night. Yea...I use common sense. There are places I won't go wondering around in the dark, but mostly I don't think I need to have any protection.
