The Greens are a centre-centre left party for the bleeding heart " small l"* liberal bourgeoisie. There is no effective political left in Australia, the UK or the US. *In Australia, the Liberal party is conservative.Sarah Palin would fit right in in one of our"deep north' bible belt electorates.
PS (it's 'knew')
The Greens are center-left authoritarians here, they absolutely wreak of the "fuck you slave, we know best" mentality, but then all the parties here do in a sense. We have no real left amongst the main parties, Labor is center-right, although they are going way to the left and ganging up with the unions to get votes because at this moment their party is about as unpopular as it ever has been, around 7% of the population approve of their leader.
The Nazi's weren't "fascists" either, they were massive into the public sector and government control of the economy, they are left of center-left and totalitarian, more akin to the USSR than any "Fascist" conception.
