You go ahead and live in a society where only a select few can get married or have relationships while the majority are involuntary celibates.
You go ahead and live in a society where an interest-based fiat money system is normal.......in which the only way to get out of being neck deep in debt is suicide.
You go ahead and live in a society that working 60 hours a week with the help of caffeine is normal and winding down with alcohol is normal....even though significantly raise your chance of getting cancer.
But if you want solutions to all these problems in a "modern" society, this religion is to help. It requires discipline and a little bit of sacrifice. Just know there are solutions when society is in the brink of self-destruction.
