I tend to distrust the notion of self-evidence. Our brains take many short cuts in reasoning things out and it is never clear from within our minds whether the path taken is just such a short cut or not. Ultimately, since we evolved our brains, everything should be on the table.
I cannot take skepticism that far. I trust in the efficacy of reason and believe that reality is intelligible.
