Yea, way to defend a book of myth and stupidly think I am making a similar metaphor.
Ok Einstein, don't know how much more simple I can state this.
We have a gun death epidemic in America. But only a fucking idiot thinks the GOP/NRA has any interest in problem solving. I have seen their shell game since I was a teen and I am 49.
would it make you feel any better if it was a knife death epidemic or better yet a suicide bomber epidemic?
What you guys don't seem to get is 'broken people' are going to carry out their 'broken/hell bent desires despite what prohibitions you place on non broken people.
It's like you guys do not want to address the real issues of mental health, just pretend that a bandaid gun law will somehow magically make those AT WAR with society (whether it be religious or those who just hate their lot in life) sane.
Not everyone (even whole soceities/cultures) are mature enough to handel the 'freedoms' this soceity affords. Our freedoms become stumbling blocks for our weaker brothers. (as well as for ourselves.) In that we insist that inorder to maintain certain freedoms we must restrict everyone.
To restrict life is what terrorism is all about.
When did this country deem it necessary to punish the whole of soceity for the acts of individuals or groups? If an individual or group is the root cause then when did it become wrong to ban those people?
It's so simple that if, we for the sake of our foolish philosophy, we ignore what common sense tells us. then we deserve a shooting like this every week till we yield to common sense.
If a religion demands a 'holy war be waged' on non practitioners as one of it's 3 ways into heaven or as a way to atone for sin... then ban those of that religion for access to the tools that would allow a mass shooting. As it is very well possible that at any moment/crisis of faith could occur and demand that drastic action be taken. (this last guy is a perfect example of this)
Or we simply learn to live/deal with people who to destroy us. and learn that their are no easy fixes. that laws ONLY affect the law abiding, and the law abiding are not your problem.
Gun restrictions are a distraction from real issues politicians do not want to talk about.
