Don't drink red wine to sleep. A true insomniac will just wake up early and buzzed. Personally I have grown accustomed to the 4-6 hour sleep with the inner monkey alarm going off (sometimes 5-6 times a night). I believe us insomniacs did better in our primordial past. The sleepy heads were left behind to deal with the bears. I do become overcome with drowsiness throughout the day though. I try not to take naps while I am driving.
