Interesting article in the paper here yesterday, quoting Geoffrey Robertson.He said that America is currently the land of the munchkins,celebrating the death of the wicked witch. I think he's right.
Reports here claim Bin Laden was unarmed and deliberately shot in the head. IF that is true, his death was ex judicial homicide.ie murder. It may well have been satisfying revenge but justice it was not.
Body buried at sea? Makes sense; no grave for a martyr.
It has been said that if you engage in revenge,dig two graves. I think the US will reap the whirlwind for what seems to me to be the political murder of Osama bin Laden.
In the US position I would almost certainly have done exactly the same thing,down to making the same hypocritical noises about justice having been done.
