It's just my opinon that when people start to swear and calling names, they do not show strength really. I know it's just a personal thing, but as gloves come off here, I see no need to keep my opinion for myself And yes, I know that famous line...opinions are like assholes...
I made that previous post because I wondered what the goals of the replies was. Then I figured it had nothing to do with changing any minds, either of the posters or of the onlookers. It was a bundle of pitchforks and torches to chanse him away as soon as possible. So mission accomplished!
Oh and trust me, I know trolling when I see it. I may not have a postcount here, but this isn't the first atheist forum I visit. And yes, I have seen all the 'favorite topics' come by, many times. I just found that in other forums some people would engage the crazy. This would rarely change minds, but it released a great amount of useful information that greatly benefited the onlookers. Maybe some of you remember Calilasseia - he was great at that, it was always a sight to behold. He did not shy away from the occasional personal attack, but he had a lot of very good goods and tons of information to back it up.
That is why I felt like both sides lost. Our dear troll because he could not answer the actual arguments, and we because the whole argument was kind of...derailed before it reached its actual conclusion. But I know that you people don't care, because you've seen it all many times before and don't want to sit around here being insulted in your own forum. So that's understandable.

When I was a Christian, I was annoyed with dogmatic condescending Christians. Now that I'm an atheist, I'm annoyed with dogmatic condescending atheists. Just goes to prove that people are the same, regardless of what they do or don't believe.
