I'm very cynical. It's mostly a money making machine to me. Anyone ambitious enough can go far it would seem. Ministers swap denominations too to get a better deal.

I've known some amazing ministers. Great people. I've also known some amazing ministers that get the boot from straight Christian churches as the Church can't accommodate them. Churches get bogged down in traditionalism an fresh blood doesn't mix.

I know the Salvation Army don't pay great wages, but you get a house, a lease car. Expenses. Respect from some Smile

There are far easier ways to get money. Religion is more for mind control Big Grin
