Tinfoil alert when someone speaks about the powers that be and assumes they alone have the news the powers that be don't want to see the light.

So no, Russia is not about to invade Ukraine at the moment. The powers that be may have some influence over some of the more serious media networks but a story like that would make headlines. Even more so since the powers that be aren't known for being in cahoots with Putin.
Just creating a discussion. Got nothing better to do at this time of night. I didn't think Russia was planning on invading Ukraine anyway. I personally thought the source was a little iffy too.
