And I'm sure it's lost on him that Trump is the inevitable conclusion of the culture of anti-intellectualism, bigotry and misinformation the GOP has been cultivating for the past few decades.
Chickens coming home to roost. Fuck the GOP. Louisiana's unlamented former governor famously opined that the GOP needed to stop being the party of stupid. Not only did they not heed his call, but Bobby's suggestion came about 48 years too late -- ever since the Goldwater fiasco of '64. But at least Goldwater had the intellectual integrity and honesty to change his mind over the years when he was presented with evidence that he was wrong. Today's GOP seems incapable of such introspection or honesty.
