Except that, in the case of "the guys on the other side" as it applies to the US, they're losing their shit. Our country has a demonstrable ability to assimilate immigrants quickly and thoroughly. If Old Geert there is having trouble, in his country....maybe he ought to at least consider the idea that it's something his country can improve on, rather than something that immigrants need to improve (or be improived upon) by. But OFC this is all pretext for run-of-the-mill bigotry, and nothing more complicated than that regardless of how much lipstick they smear onto that pig.
