Christ said this, the bible says that. Ever thought for yourself for once instead of letting a bronze age book filled with bronze age beliefs to do the thinking for you?
Stop following a bronze age book and follow your head for once. If you can't do this now, I doubt you ever will.
If the bible said the only way to get into heaven was to jump off a bridge, would you? We both know you wouldn't, because your common sense and wisdom would tell you it would be a daft thing to do. You know there is no guarantee that the book is right.
You can keep to those bronze age beliefs, but I will not. I just hope that someday, you'll understand why.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
