It's not like I asked you to count them...
But I thought that Americans are quite happy and optimistic, regardless of their religion.
I don't know where Stephen King got his Margaret White (ok, I read that there was a lady who worked in a laundry).
But still she seems like a caricature on American Christians, who love life, sex, dance, music, art, science, food, nature, knowledge, humanity.
The christian story of the end times in Revelations is a real horror show. The finale is everything we have built up over centuries in terms of culture and knowledge being supplanted by the reign of the Sky fairy on the earth. It is not like we will be hanging out listening to our favorite Butthole Surfers CDs and reading Charles Darwin. Not optimistic.
Oh, and the Christian version of the Judeo-Christian story is a three act play. The Jews disappear in the Third act.
God thinks it's fun to confuse primates. Larsen's God!
