The whole bible is one big contradiction after the other. My fav is the fact that 12 people followed a holyman around the desert and came up with 4 different stories that contradict each other.
It may seem that we are bashing the bible but other religions (some you see as pagan) made shore that their myths had little to no holes. As for the bible(ot) everytime something bad happened to the Jews they added and subtracted from it .believing they wasn't worshiping god right.
I do not think it is necessary to believe that the same God who has given us our senses, reason, and intelligence wished us to abandon their use, giving us by some other means the information that we could gain through them
