My son is gay. He has my FULL support. His lifestyle choice is no ones business but him and his partner. Now, that said, he's only 14. I, as his parent, have the responsibility to protect him and keep him safe. I wouldn't be a good parent if I allowed him to be careless. Just because he can't get another man pregnant, is no reason to let him just do whatever he wants.
When he's 18 and on his own, I would hope that I have taught him enough about being careful, that he is responsible, but life offers no guarantees.
I don't know if your son had a similar experience to this, but upon reflection, it is really illustrative to me as an adult:
when I was in third grade (IANMTU) I noticed the junior high boys smelled good, after PE in the gym on their way to the locker room.
No choice, no satanic demon casting an evil spell on me, just an 8 year old boy noticing something no one else in his grade did.
And I think even then, it shows a pattern in my preference, even to this day, the older boys are fucking hot.
