I find something insane about this guy's rationale: intentionally saying racist things to supporters in the hopes that it somehow gets him votes.
You know, since Trump won the Republican nomination, I was left to conclude that there were no longer any rules in American politics. I can remember a time when the leading Democratic candidate for president lost his run solely due to a particularly ridiculous-sounding "YEAH!"

And three election cycles later, Trump breaks every unspoken rule of political etiquette, doing everything from making racist rants about Mexicans to bragging about his sex life to throwing out black people from his rally apparently solely because of their race, but seeing candidates openly claiming that they make explicitly racist statements in an attempt to gain votes IN 2016 is actually shocking to me. Even Trump saying a Latino judge is unfairly biased against his immigration plan and should step down wasn't this naked.
