What the appeal court ruled was that if a) Ashers were to provide a certain service to some people they could not refuse to provide the same service to others based on their beliefs, and b) once they entered into the contract to bake the cake it was wrong for them to back out on religious grounds.
Ashers are perfectly welcome to refuse to serve people who want homophilic messages on their cakes, provided they will agree to not also serve those who want homophobic messages on their cakes (something Ashers bakery is not willing to do).
