and I'm old enough to remember serious proposals for concentration camps, in America, for gay people.  And 'Kill a Queer For Christ' bumper stickers and T-shirts too.

Had a friend gunned down while sitting in a gay bar too.  No one was ever caught, and for the time frame, early 80s, and the location, Chicagoland, I've wondered if the cops even bothered investigating.


Still, times have changed, the "Kill a Queer for Christ' stuff used to be an incitement to violence, now it's a derision of christianity.
