Your promblem is with religion not God.

I don't know what a god is, everyone has a different idea and few ever define it in a coherent way.

I don't hate [whatever it is]. I don't care about it. It's of no relevance, whether it exists or not.

Okay, so you define God as "the goodness within". So God is just a part of people who believe in God. I agree. That's what it is. Why would I hate the goodness within people? That makes no sense.
