Of course it's meant to be a fuck you to the establishment. It remains to be seen what led to that kind of result. Is it the angry white men celebrating one last victory or is it because moderates couldn't be arsed to even vote? Congress ist sill in Republican hands also and that doesn't sound well for the world at large, since they will jump at the chance to roll back on all the reforms Obama set in motion. Tough times, I guess, for everyone not being a white religious straight male. Tough times for the world, since the last straw for climate change not turning into a catastrophe just went out of the window.
What it means for the world economy as well as the foreign policy, noone can say at this moment. But why shouldn't Trump go through with what he said before the election if he got the chance to rule more or less without opposition?
