To be quite honest, I am looking over my shoulder a lot more lately than I usually have while in public. People seem to be inspired to react with violence towards anyone different than them because of Trump's inspiration. Trans people get attacked and killed enough as it is. I just keep wondering when I will be next. The university right down the street from me was already heavily vandalized by Trump supporters right after the election. Even in a blue state, I know I'm not safe.
While I think the protest here in Albuquerque was tastelessly done, at least they didn't hurt anyone or cause damages.
