Saying everyone who voted for Trump is a racist bigot is just stupid. My dad voted for Trump. As a Hispanic man, I can tell you he's not racist, and he certainly isn't a bigot. My mom, on the other hand, voted Hillary.
Neither one of my parents was the least bit happy with the candidate they voted for, but they voted on who they saw as the lesser evil of 2 very very bad choices. Neither one of them is anything other than a decent human being trying to do the right thing when they feel backed into a corner. Calling either of them nasty, accusatory things will only alienate them from the opposite side.
A vote for Trump was a vote for bigotry. There's no getting around that. I don't think all Trump supporters are bigots in their personal values. But I do think that if you vote for a bigot, you own a share of the bigotry that unfolds from that support.
If you lay down with dogs, you're bound to get fleas.
