To use an analogy, it's like... what's worse: Someone breaks into your house and kill your family? Or someone you take into your home to give shelter to the turns around and kills your family?
Both our awful and infuriating, but the latter arouses a particular type of anger.
Your reasoning seems to come from a place of selfishness rather than a place of understanding. And that is sad.
