John has Christ dying sometime after noon on the Day of Preparation for Passover. Mark has Christ dying around 9AM on the day Passover.
That's why I think Christ was crucified twice. It's the ONLY way to make sense of the Gospels.
It doesn't seem like a problem to me, the Romans wanted to make good and sure they killed him. Do it twice, and there is no doubt.
It clears up another problem too, one time they used 3 nails to put Jesus on the cross, the other time they used 4 nails.
