It's true that we have Muslims fighting Muslims which decreases the chance for them to dominante. The technological advancement of Muslims is weak and hardly witnessed, another aspect of their problem. That's not to say that Muslims don't have nuclear power in case of Iran and there has been some rumors about the Saudis having it as well. The hidden part of the problem comes with the ideological conversion, look how effective ISIS is in recruiting foreign fighters from all over the world. No doubts the Iranian fanatic regime won't hesitate to use nuclear weapons against their opponents if they feel they need to and this is especially true if that power is used to push or defend their ideology. The general Muslim view that Islam is a religion of peace is just another delusion for those who keep repeating it.
Keep in mind that it won't matter if the Quran preaches peace or not, but that it will be interpreted this way. Christianity used the Bible to justify many atrocious behaviors for centuries but in the last hundred years it has softened considerably on many of them and only the most hard-line extremists will use it that way anymore. Once it becomes more convenient to promote it as a religion of peace it won't matter what it says... it will be a religion of peace and the hard-liners will be marginalized and/or suppressed.
ISIS may be able to recruit from around the world but that's an ineffective way of building an organized fighting force. And it leaves them open to being infiltrated at numerous levels, which may be why the Obama administration has been claiming success at eliminating the upper-echelon of their ranks. They also need money to continue to operate, and there are points at which it is possible to trace where the money is coming from and put pressure on those sources, or remove them from the field altogether through asset seizure or freezing. ISIS can live on for a long time due to its fragmented nature and use of human shields and guerilla tactics. But none of those things will allow them to dominate anything for very long.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
