The Equality Act introduced in April bans employers from discriminating against someone because they are gay.
However, it does allow the employer to impose a " genuine occupational requirement ".
The Cof E response to this is to issue a guideline to members of its synod that gay men can be ordained as bishops, but only if they pledge to be celibate!
Bad enough having to wear fancy dress and preach superstition without not being able to have sex either , if you ask me!
