Extreme left wingers are people who want the government to pay for more, and want the government to regulate business more.
I'm not saying they are liberal opinions; they are opinions held by extreme leftists. I disagree that extreme left wingers are what you have described; I think your description is a description of "the left" in general, i.e. pretty common left wing opinions.
The extreme left holds opinions that aren't shared by the majority of the left.
