Zionism is a racist ideology just like Boer apathied and nazism were, in fact what Israel is doing now vis a vis the Palestinians both inside Israel and Palestine is little different to what happened to German jews between 1933 and 1939. You'd think a coutry born out of murderous oppression would be better than that wouldn't you?
Herzl would rotate in his grave if you equate the currrent Israeli government with his idea of Zionism. That was something entirely different. The word is often abused these days. But Herzls idea was deeply secular and bordering on socialism, and certainly not exclusive. The Kibbuzims of the early days followed the idea of sharing everything among themselves. Not to be mistaken with the often religiously motivated settler movement of today.
And it's still a far cry from how the German jews were treated. The latest verdict against an Israeli soldier killing an already wounded Palestinian, proves that the justice system still works and doesn't play favorites. As does the investigation against Netanjahu.
The nazis occasionally prosecuted those of their own who were too obvious in the persecution of the jews. Your man is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the racist punishment meted out to Palestinians for being non-jewish in the "promised" land. The racially and regiously exclusivist state of Israel mirrors pre war nazi Germany in many of the methods in which it treats those it considers undesirable, and would go further if it thought it'd get away with it.
