The slowdown in policing is due to police not being able to police, apparently, without vast and repeated civil rights abuse. They were told to sit on their hands, just like we tell a child to sit on their hands....when they just can't seem to stop whatever ridiculous shit they're doing. That you feel compelled to pin this upon the people they were abusing, even indirectly, means that you should probably sit on your hands as well.
