As for an Ethiopian army of one million, that's not what the Bible says, you stopped short of reading about Asa's entire reign. The seer Hanani asked Asa why he didn't rely on the LORD as he did when he faced the army made up of Ethiopians and Lubims (ie Libyans). During those times history tell of armies joining together to defeat Egypt. Shishak with his Ethiopian army was joined by the Lubim army to defeat Egypt and Shishak became the first black Egyptian pharaoh. Shishak was the Egyptian pharaoh that lead that million man army, so there were probably Egyptians amongst those million also.

I was referring to Zerah the Ethiopian with his million man army in 2 Chronicles 14:9-15.

Yes I know, it was Shishak's predecessor who was by Egyptian records Ramos's IV that had a overseer of the northern territories which would have included southern parts of Judah, his name in Hebrew was Sarah and he most likely was an Ethiopian. For info Shishak was Ramese III. As I said large armies were put together to defeat Egypt and though historians believe the numbers were exaggerated (ie. because they believe that happened in the reports of most nations in those times) doesn't mean they are right, they were not there. Even if the numbers were exaggerated Asa with God's help defeated the Egyptian army and was the finial blow to Egypt's reign of that area. Sorry for the misinformation in the earlier post, I got my rulers mixed up and went and checked to make sure I was giving it to you correctly this time. Not all historians agree with what I just reported but this account brings together quite nicely the history of the two nations that other accounts do not..

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
