Nixon was a mixed bag.  Even his  Chief Justice Burger was a mixed bag too.  As wiki reminded me, abortion, capital punishment and school desegregation decisions were under his watch.

So I'm finding the Nixon/Trump comparisons a little strange since the consensus is Trump will be an unmitigated disaster, and Nixon clearly wasn't.
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
